The Lundeby commercial property, a project combining solar, battery storage and EMS

Our energy solutions

Battery storage for businesses in Norway

Enfy delivers battery storage with energy management for businesses and housing associations. We assess how storage can reduce demand peaks, make use of solar and provide flexibility for operations and reserve markets.

One partner handles engineering, installation, commissioning and ongoing service. We start with the building’s needs and size the battery and EMS around the grid connection, consumption and any local generation.

Talk to us about Battery storage for businesses in Norway

When should you consider battery storage?

Storage is particularly relevant for short demand peaks, surplus solar or additional power needed for part of the day. We compare storage with load control and other measures before recommending a configuration.

The right kW and kWh for the job

Power in kW determines the battery’s instantaneous contribution. Energy capacity in kWh determines duration. We assess usable capacity, connection, location and any backup reserve. BESS means battery energy storage system.

Solar, battery and control

Solar electricity can be used directly, stored or exported. Enfy EMS plans operation using consumption, generation, prices and agreed limits. For existing systems, inverter, metering and communication requirements are established during engineering.

What value could the battery deliver?

The assessment must show investment, recurring costs and each use case’s contribution. Reserve-market income depends on qualification, accepted bids and contracts. Energy and power committed to one task cannot also be treated as fully available for another.

From assessment to operation

Start with meter data, the grid tariff and your objectives. We then establish the solution, delivery scope and responsibilities. The offer should specify usable capacity, functions, warranty terms, testing and follow-up. Lundeby illustrates planning solar, storage, EMS and building upgrades together.

What you get

  • Load-profile and battery sizing assessment
  • Battery and EMS engineering and installation
  • Coordination with solar and existing consumption
  • Assessment of backup and market participation
  • Commissioning, documentation and maintenance

Questions before choosing a system

Does our business need solar?
No. The battery can also charge from the grid. Its value depends on demand, tariffs, price differences and potential market opportunities.
What does a fully installed system cost?
Cost depends on power, capacity, connection and functions. Ask for a total price covering installation, control and recurring costs. Read the cost guide below before comparing offers.
Will every battery supply power during an outage?
No. Backup and island operation require appropriate electrical design, control and testing. Agree critical loads, duration and allowable interruption before ordering.
