Farm buildings have large roofs and daytime demand. The battery stores surplus for evening and night, instead of selling cheaply to the grid.
3. Peaks without draining backup
Drying, feeding and charging create peaks. The system shaves them inside a reserve you set — so backup is not empty when the storm arrives.

The farm cannot wait for the starter cord
Many holdings have no real backup, or a genset that must be started by hand. A battery with islanding takes over without panic control, and can run with a genset where one already stands.
A weak grid is the everyday case
In rural areas voltage and capacity are often the bottleneck. On-site generation, batteries and controls give more operations on the existing connection — and an island when the line drops.
